First of all, happy new year to everyone! Hope you all had a great new year’s eve! I had a great one. I was happy that Stefan was here with me when the clock striked midnight. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

On new year’s eve we went to a party in Amsterdam with Soraya and Simon. It was alot of fun! I had a great time. Had quite alot to drink. January 1st started with a hangover. I made some videos as well. I brought my Flip Cam with me. But… yes there is a but! I have done something really stupid. Stupid is not even the correct word, as it is much worse than that! When we got home at about 7am I did some laundry. I think I was still kinda drunk. I put all my dirty clothes in the washing machine. Turned it on and let it spin. In the mean time I wanted to check the videos I made. So I was looking for my Flip Cam. I couldn’t find it anywhere. Uh-oh! The washing machine was already on and I suddenly had a bad feeling that my Flip Cam was in my pants’ pocket. The pants that I  put in the washing machine. So… I stopped the washing machine, which was already filled with water and was spinning already. So I made the water go away and opened the washing machine door. And yes. There was my Flip Cam, all soaking wet. I was soo pissed at myself. It was dead and not working anymore. So I dried it off and put it on my heater for a bit. It was dead, totally dead!

Stefan looked online and found some information from other people with the same issue. It seems that after a couple of days the Flip Cam would work again. So right now I am waiting. I am even trying the trick with rice, putting it in a bowl filled with rice. Some people with soaked BlackBerries or iPhones tried that and it worked like a charm. So I am hoping that this will work for my Flip Cam as well. Great way to start the new year, huh?

I am really bummed. If my Flip Cam will work again I hope that the new year’s eve videos will still be there. Fingers crossed. I can’t even make videos anymore for my YouTube channel. It sucks! Let’s all hope and pray it will come to life again.
