Stefan’s first Podcast at Stefan’s Corner for Leander Online. He made this Podcast while I was asleep, taking a nap on the couch. Stefan’s talking about Leander Online, the last articles I have posted, about my obsession with Madonna, our plan to meet each other for the very first time, some more sweet ramblings…
Here are some new pictures of Madonna’s recent photoshoot for the new 2009 Louis Vuitton ad campaign. Total hotness. I can’t wait to see more of these gems.

I have decided to flaunt Stefan some more on here, so I have made a ‘Stefan’s Corner’ section here at Leander Online, which features cute and funny audio messages, or what they call podcasts, from my number one babe. Check it out and lemme know what you think. ‘Stefan’s Corner has been added with an extra tab on top on the right. Or click here to check it out! And ofcourse, again, a thank you to Stefan for making efforts to make cute, sweet and funny audio messages for me!
As I am Madonna’s number one fan, as many of you know already, I dedicate one special song by Madonna for my babe, Stefan! It’s ‘Crazy For You’. This is for you, my love! This is the live version from Madonna’s 1985 Virgin Tour. I am crazy for you, Stefan! I love you!
Who knew that I can feel this way for someone so far away from me. Yes, I am talking about Stefan! Gosh, I don’t know where to start! Stefan made an audio recording for me and he sent it to me, with permission to post this on my website. So I am sharing with you all his sweet words. Believe it or not, Stefan is the best thing that ever happened to me and I cannot wait to see him this summer! I never felt a connection with someone like this, ever, I swear. Stefan is my number one right now, and he always will be! Listen to Stefan’s sweet words. I love you, babe!

Aaaw, my babe Stefan made something to ’spice up’ his desktop! He was saying that he was making a wallpaper for his computer. He showed me the result on his desktop. He made a Leander desktop wallpaper. I am totally loving it! And it looks really nice! So Stefan, I know you are reading this, babe! I am loving it and I love you, alot!
“This was really different,” explains Antoine Arnault, communications director of Louis Vuitton, when asked how Madonna came to front the company’s new spring/summer campaign. “Usually, these things take much, much longer,” he explains; a lengthy process of identifying the right person to embody the fashion and luxury-goods brand, the right photographer, the right look for the campaign, plus, of course, all the deal-making a project like this involves. This time, however, pretty much everything was agreed inside a week.
“On the Monday,” Arnault recalls, “we had a meeting, and Marc Jacobs suggested Madonna. I thought, yes, great idea, but it will never happen. Then, in the meeting, Marc sent her a text saying, ‘Love, would you like to be the new Louis Vuitton woman?’ Five minutes later, she’d replied. He showed me his phone, and she’d said, ‘Yes, I’d love to do it.’” What could be simpler?
Clearly, when a big brand like Louis Vuitton chooses a new face for its campaign, it’s not just a matter of affectionate text messages between Marc Jacobs and Madonna. Men like Louis Vuitton’s CEO, Yves Carcelle, have to agree that it is a good idea, not a whim, as well as, of course, Carcelle’s boss and Antoine Arnault’s father, Bernard Arnault, head of the LVMH luxury-goods empire.
But as Antoine Arnault sees it, “Marc knows the brand probably better than anyone now,” having been artistic director for a decade, during which time Louis Vuitton has expanded massively. Jacobs had seen Madonna in concert the week before, but it wasn’t some “let’s be crazy” decision, Arnault explains, citing how Jacobs had previously picked J-Lo as the face of Louis Vuitton in 2003. “That wasn’t an obvious choice, perhaps, but it instantly put us on the top in the US in one campaign.
“Madonna is glamorous,” Arnault continues. “She has a global image. She’s the ultimate performer and businesswoman, and not someone who is just a famous singer. She has travelled; she has tried to change things.” And if her personal life isn’t perfect right now, “Well, that only makes her more human.” Once the proposal had been made, and provisionally accepted, in both cases by text, “Then we had to agree on a figure, a concept, a photographer.” Yet the whole process seems to have been plain sailing – an object lesson, if you like, in the degree of certainty that people at the top of the fashion industry tend to display about their creative choices.
The figure? Well, just how much Madonna is being paid for what is, in a sense, both one day’s work and the product of many years at the top of her game is a moot point. Some have claimed it’s $10 million (£6.6 million). But Arnault is careful to puncture that, saying, “The figure is really, really lower than that. In times like these, it would be totally irresponsible to pay anyone $10 million.”
The concept? Madonna has been photographed in a nostalgic, Parisian bistro setting, perhaps at that “waiters whistling as the last bar closes” moment in the early hours. “Only it’s in LA,” Arnault quips, not Paris – “One of those French bistros in California where you really think you’re in France” – and it’s daytime and there are hundreds of paparazzi outside. Madonna smoulders quietly, all fishnets and high kicks, with a glamour that gives more than a nod to Dietrich, long an acknowledged influence. She’s wearing Marc Jacobs’ ready-to-wear clothes for Louis Vuitton, styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé, with, of course, due prominence given to some lovely bags and shoes, those accessories that have long been such steady earners for the brand.
But there is a certain quietness to the images, a kind of gentleness, perhaps, which might also (along with that willingly professed prudence over Madonna’s fee) be a sign of the extraordinary times we live in. Certainly, when I put it to Arnault that the crunch might be changing the aesthetic and that, in particular, a certain kind of flash advertising message now looks passé, even wrong somehow, he doesn’t exactly demur. “Other people can try to rationalise every campaign, but there is certainly a feeling that emerges from designers, photographers, creatives of all kinds, which is maybe something they don’t talk about, but which they can feel.”
The photographer in question here is Steven Meisel, rather than Mert and Marcus, who have shot all of Louis Vuitton’s campaigns since 2002, including those amazingly effective shots of J-Lo. “We were very happy with them,” Arnault insists, but all good things come to an end – and, after all, it was Meisel who photographed the wilder, younger, more in-your-face Madonna who leapt off the pages of Sex, the book which caused such a storm back in 1992. So this campaign can be seen as something of a reunion, Meisel additionally having photographed Madonna for Vanity Fair late last year. Jacobs and Meisel are old friends, too, Arnault explains, “from the crazy years of the Eighties”.
And once Antoine Arnault had assembled his dream team? “I think the three of them were in touch with each other on the phone almost every day,” he says of the run-up to the shoot, “talking about ideas, sharing references, then talking about individual shots.” On the big day itself, “About 50 people were on the set, which sounds like a lot, but it’s all in the preparation, in the make-up and the set and so on. Once that was in place, Madonna would come out, get into position, and the shots went amazingly quickly, sometimes in about 15 minutes. It was a delight.”

Twitstat, an analytics site for Twitter, has just put together a dynamic listing of the most popular Twitter clients based on the number of Tweets sent per user - in other words, it lets us see which client has the most addicted Twitter users.
Looking at the the top 10 clients (which are less likely to have data skewed by a few heavy users), the top spot with an average of 3.68 tweets per user goes to TwitterBerry, the Twitter client for BlackBerry phones (not surprising, given how notoriously addictive BlackBerries are). FriendFeed comes in at a close second with 3.55 tweets per user, followed by TweetDeck. Note: These figures will change over time, as the list is dynamically updated.
While the data is worth looking at, it is hardly applicable to the general population: according to the site, the dataset used is still fairly small (only around 900 users at the time this post was written), and only takes into account those users who are being followed by @twitstat. Because those users following @twitstat are likely to be “hardcore” users (given that they care about things like retweet counts), it’s a heavily biased sample.
The site also offers a listing of the most popular Twitter clients that doesn’t take the number of Tweets sent into account here (those this is prone to the same selection bias). For a more comprehensive run down, check out the study conducted by ReadWriteWeb last year).
Twitstat was created by Michiel Berger, co-founder of Nedstat, a European web analytics company.

Today was my first working day in 2009. I only worked for 4 hours as I had vacation hours from 9am ’til 1pm. Yet the time went by so slow. Oh well. It was nice to wish all my friends at work a happy new year. I was really in a good mood. Hmm, I wonder why. Work again tomorrow. Full eight hours. Sounds quite brutal don’t you think?
After work today I met up with Cindy at The Hague HS Station. She came along with me to my apartment to chill and have dinner. We had loads of laughs. She’s alot of fun. I think I ate a bit too much. Some left over dinner from New Year’s Eve. I still have some time to kill before I need to go to bed. Having a glass of wine and waiting for Stefan to come on Yahoo! Messenger, but no sign of him on there. I am chatting with him on my BlackBerry Messenger, tho.
Also I am happy for the nice response to my New Year’s video messages I have made for everone. To the ones who didn’t replied to it yet, that’s rude. Means I can scrape you off my list for the next one. Also, I love the response to my vlog! This was my first ever video log. I am new to the whole editing thing, but I am still learning. I will try to make a video log every week. If not, every two weeks. So keep checking back. I thought that the end result was quite funny. Thanks to all comments. It’s very much appreciated. Anyway, enough has been said for now. Hope everyone is doing great!
Happy new year, everybody! I am very much excited about this new year. And to get used to the whole video blogging thing, I have made my first real video log, or as some people call it vlog, and I wanna share it with you all. I hope you like it. And let me know what you think. Oh and by the way, the person in the video log, is basically the real me. Like it or not, bitches! The year 2009 is going to be amazing! So again, happy new year!

I have never ever made a video message for my weblog. This is the first one ever! Just a little new year’s message to everyone out there. All Leander Online visitors, who in fact aren’t that many, but oh well. Happy new year, everyone!

I received two fansigns from my number one babe, Stefan! Aren’t they adorable? Thank you, Stefan, I am totally loving it! And I love you, remember that. These are the best and nicest fansigns ever! Thank you so much. You are the best. Oh, and did I tell you that I love you? I do, I… Love… You! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am currently uploading hundreds of picture to my Photo Album. I already uploaded almost 500 pictures. And I am still uploading as I write this. Alot of pictures from concerts I went to, vacations in Suriname and Capetown. I will add many more pictures of me and my friends out and about, so check it out! All great pictures with great memories!
Yesterday was my last working day for this year. When I left work I was saying goodbye to every and I told them I will see them again next year. Which sounds so far away, right? Anyway, work was good. I got to leave half hour earlier. I met up with Svenlana for a brief moment at The Hague HS Station. Always lovely seeing her and have a good laugh. Now that the year is almost over, I would like to go through all the good things that has happened to me this year. Well, where should I start…
As a Madonna fanatic, like a total mad fan, it was time for the release of Madonna’s album Hard Candy, in April. Some snippets were leaked online and I loved it. The thing is that when Madonna releases an album, it’s often an album you have to listen to and get used to. It grew on me really fast. And I am still listening to it from time to time. Favorite lyrical tracks on the album are ‘Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You’ and ‘Voices’. At the moment I want ‘Voices’ to be a song played on my funeral. I know it may sound freaky to even start thinking about that, but still. So when the album got out I immediately bought a copy for myself, and also for Verena. She’s not really a fan, but she loves ‘Miles Away’.
In April I went on holiday with my parents. It was a long time since we went on a trip together, and it was fun. We went to the United States for about ten days. We flew from Amsterdam to Los Angeles. During the ten days we visited four states. I know, it was one hell of an exhausted trip. From Los Angeles we drove to Palm Springs, where it was bloody hot as hell. Then we drove to Arizona. We stayed at a small cowboy town called Williams. There we visited some of the sights nearby like The Grand Canyons and Flagstaff. Then we drove to St. George in Utah. Stayed there for one night. Then it was off to Las Vegas in Nevada. Then back to California where we stayed the last couple of days in Hollywood. We visited my aunt in Burbank as well, and went shopping and sightseeing in Glendale, Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles. It was a nice holiday. During the last day in Los Angeles I received a message from a friend saying that Madonna, out of the blue, announced her Sticky & Sweet World Tour and that she will come to Amsterdam on September 2nd. I was freaking out! Mostly because I had spent alot of money on my holiday. But my sweet dad was able to lend me money for tickets! So that was all settled.
This year I turned 28 years old, on July 17th. I wasn’t planning on doing anything with my birthday, but some of my friends from work thought it was needed to celebrate, because well, I am quite a loveable person. Just kidding. Anyway, I had a little get together here at my small apartment. Being a host at my own little party makes me nervous, but it went well. I had really fun and I was happy to spend my birthday celebration with some of the people I adore and admire. So all and all it was a good little party.

At the beginning of August I finally got to meet a long time online friend who I have been chatting with since 1998, Rebecca from Sydney, Australia. She has been to Holland before, but I was living in Ireland at that time so I was unable to see her. But this year she visited Holland again and I finally got to meet her. Save the best for last, I’d like to think that. I was very happy to meet her after all these years chatting online and on our BlackBerry’s. Definitely one of my highlights as well. She is fun and sweet and very talented. Becca is an amazing singer and she’s got great tracks. Check out her MySpace to check it out!

Madonna kicked off her Sticky & Sweet Tour on August 23rd in Cardiff, United Kingdom. I was up all night to check out the latest pictures and videos from the tour. In the first place I didn’t wanted to get spoilers as I was going to see her on September 2nd, but I couldn’t control myself, so I got all the information on the show, etc.
The September got near and it was my turn the see Madonna live again, for the seventh time. I went to see the show together with my friend Francois. He came over the day before and we went to the Amsterdam Arena at 5am. Yeah, we waited for 15 hours. Can you believe it? We arrived at the stadium at about 6am. There were already about 100 people waiting in line. I met up with Sotiris and his friend. I met Sotiris online through Madonna Fanzine, a forum, and he was posting he was going to see Madonna live in Amsterdam so we met up at the venue. I still think back sometimes on all the waiting. The weather was crap, it was raining most of the day. The doors of the venue opened at 5:30pm. Oh my God, it was hell as the couple of thousand people standing behind me all got hysterical. I was pretty much overly exhausted and totally out of breath from running into the stadium for the perfect spot. But we managed. We stood about third row from the catwalk. It was all worth the wait. Show was amazing, it was awesome to see Madonna up close again. I had the time of my life. I wanted to see more shows in Europe, but unfortunately I was unable to. Financial reasons. But at least I saw her and I was very pleased and totally Madonna-fied.

I love my BlackBerry. I have my BlackBerry for over a year now. And I cannot live without it! Last month I received a PIN message with a request from Stefan. So I have added him on my BlackBerry Messenger Contacts. So we started to chat. I was thinking he was from Holland, because of his name, Stefan. But he wasn’t. He is from Canada. I first impression was positive. I loved our conversations on BlackBerry Messenger. Then we continued online, added him on Facebook and MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. I am not on MSN anymore because of some spam virus thing. I use Yahoo! now, which is in my opinion less ghetto. Anyway, we started chatting on a regular basis, like every evening, which was day time for him. Chatting with webcam and also having voice conversations through Yahoo! Messenger. And believe it or not, I have been falling for Stefan, a lot. I never felt like this before with anyone I talk to online. Weird huh? I started to develop feelings for Stefan, and feels the same way about me. We continued seeing each other on cam and talking from time to time through our mics. And right now, I am just pretty much in love. I talk to him every day. Sometimes there is some drama, but still, we talk it out and all is good. We share our deepest feelings with each other and I feel really connected to him. There is not a day I don’t think about him. He is the last thing I think about when I go to bed and the first thing I think about when I wake up. Up until now I have grown to care and actually love him. And he loves me. And I feel pretty much blessed and in heaven. I am glad he found me on the BlackBerry network. It’s like faith has brought us together, even though we are miles away from each other. It still feels good. I feel him here with me, in a spiritual sort of way. And I am gonna go for it and try to see him next year.
So, there you have it. These are my main highlights of 2008. The next year can only get better. I can feel it! Life is all about risks and it requires you to jump. And I am going to do that in the new year. What will you do? Anyway, I will probably blog again before the new year starts. I just wanted to share for now my highlights of this year.
I really have no clue which new BlackBerry to take. I am pretty much interested in both the BlackBerry Bold and the BlackBerry Curve 8900, also known as the BlackBerry Javelin. Check out the review video below. Does anyone have any idea or suggestions? They both seems to be great! Dilemma! I get to choose a new phone in March. I hope to have made a good decision by then.

My contract with Vodafone ends on September 6th and if I extend my contract for an unlimited time I get to choose a new BlackBerry. Now this is the dilemma. I don’t have a clue which ones to take. Vodafone is already offering the BlackBerry Bold. But there is also the new BlackBerry 8900 Curve, also known as the BlackBerry Javelin. I have really have to check the specifications of them both and see which one really suits me. My boyfriend also wants to have the BlackBerry Bold, which for him is a huge upgrade as he has the BlackBerry 8703E, which is like the antique ones. Just kidding, Stefan! But is having a same BlackBerry as your boyfriend a go-go, or a no-go? Check out the two BlackBerries below that I am pretty much interested in. I can’t make a decision.

Madonna and kids were spotted at the Kabbalah Centre yesterday as well was ex-husband Guy Ritchie. The divorced couple spent Christmas together for the sake of their children.

I love video games, and I am usually play games on my PSP or on my Xbox. There is this game I want to play so bad for the PC. It’s an old game, really. It was released in October 2000 already. It’s called American McGee’s Alice. Check out the trailer for this game and you will see how a classic fairy tale became a twisted nightmare.
![]()
So what did you think of the trailer? I have to see if I am able to download this game somewhere. It looks really good and thrilling to play!
My good friend Rob, from MadonnaMad.com, is one hell of a talented guy! His work is amazing! He made this awesome wallpaper for me, which I am currently using as a background on my computer desktop. The picture of Madonna is fake. Just mentioning it before this picture is shown in all different tabloids. That’s how talented and amazing Rob is!
Anyway, doesn’t it look fierce? Madonna, a lady on the lose as a single woman. I love it! I also cleaned up my desktop. Got rid of most of the shortcut icons, so now it has a clean and fresh, Madonna-fied look! What do you think?

I have made a weblog for my BlackBerry partner in crime, Svenlana. The blog is fully hosted within Leander Online. I have made a simple blog layout for her, which currently has a temp layout. Please be sure to check it out and show her some love and affection, and some xoxo’s. She’ll love it… Click on the banner below to check it out!
It’s currently 4 o’clock in the morning here, which means that Christmas is over and out for this year! I am glad. I am sorry if that may sound rediculous to some people, but this has been the worst Christmas ever. All alone. Thankfully I met up briefly with Verena and Cindy last night at the airport. That was nice. Only thing I wish was over is New Year’s Eve. I will be glad when it is January 1st.
Anyway, almost a new year. What will 2009 bring me? Love? Happiness? Companion? I have a feeling that next year will be a great year! And I am looking forward to it all. Looking forward to many things. Especially meeting my love, Stefan! I know you are reading this, babe. Next year will be our year, through thick and thin. My love and my friend, who I love the most right now and forever.
So, exciting things will happen for sure. I pretty much am still awake at this time right now. Chatting with Stefan on BlackBerry Messenger. But I think I should just lay down and have a goodnight rest. Ah well, I am drinking Red Label now, so hopefully that would do the trick. As long as I don’t get a hang over in the morning. That would suck. Anyway, I’ve typed enough for now. Hope everyone is doing well.
I don’t know how accurate this rumor is. It’s probably a bunch of bogus, but then again, you never know right? Check out this message that was posted on the Sticky & Sweet MySpace page, which is however an unofficial source:
Argentina’s Madonna Fanclub just announced that there is a possibility to start the Sticky & Sweet Tour again in May to visit part of Europe and Australia. They also said that the setlist will have some changes and that it will end in september in Israel.
Oh my God! If this is true and if she’s coming to Europa again, I so want to be there! But again, no official news from Madonna’s camp. It so seems unlikely she will continue with the tour.
